3 Simple Questions to Reassess Your Goals Mid-Year
Why Mid-Year Is the Secret Reset Season for High Performers
Most people set goals in January—and then get swept up by the demands of life, business, and leadership. By July, many leaders feel behind, burned out, or off-track.
But here’s the truth: Mid-year is a powerful moment to pause and pivot.
It’s not about scrapping everything and starting over—it’s about realigning with what matters most so you can lead with clarity, purpose, and momentum for the rest of the year.
3 Simple Questions to Get Back on Track
These reflection questions are deceptively simple—and they’re the exact process I walk my Powerhouse clients through during our Leadership Check-In.
1. What’s working—and why?
Identify the routines, relationships, and results that are moving you forward. Celebrate what’s actually effective. Success leaves clues—amplify them.
2. What’s not working—and what’s draining me?
Get honest. What feels heavy, distracting, or out of alignment? Whether it’s a habit, a schedule, or a mindset, this is your chance to let go.
3. What do I want the rest of the year to feel like?
This is where strategy meets intention. Instead of defaulting to “do more,” get clear on how you want to feel: Energized? Focused? Grounded? Use those feelings to reverse-engineer aligned actions.
How to Turn These Insights into Action
📝 Step 1: Journal Your Answers
Block 20 minutes. Be honest. Don’t edit yourself.
🔍 Step 2: Notice Patterns
Are you overcommitting? Under-prioritizing yourself? Ignoring key wins?
⚡ Step 3: Make 1–2 Micro Shifts This Week
Start small: Change one boundary. Say no to one thing. Add a walk. Remove one meeting. Realignment begins with action.
Your Mid-Year Reflection is More Than a Pause—It’s a Power Move
